About the event

Open to members (non- members can join at the door @£5 and/or contact us in advance to become a member here)

Tomato plants expertly grown by one of our members will be on sale so come and stock up for the summer season! Plants are priced at £1.00 for standard fruits and £1.50 for cherry tomatoes.. You can pay by card using our Sumup machine or by cash but please bring the correct change if possible. Please also bring carrier bags or boxes to take your plants away in.

Plants will go on sale from 7:30 p.m. until the start of the meeting and again after the talk. Sales will be on a first come first served basis and we ask that you limit yourselves to a reasonable number of plants. Any leftover plants will go on sale during depot . If you have any more spare plastic pots, maximum 3 inch diameter, bring them along for our growers to use next year - washed pots please.

Shirley - 32 - Most popular exhibitors tomato with heavy crops of fruit, disease resistant

Moneymaker - 63 - Heirloom variety with small, sweet, meaty fruits

Outdoor Girl - 32 - Classic, small to medium fruits with superb traditional flavour

Alicante - 20 - Cordon type giving good yield of medium-sized, sweet-flavoured fruit, resistant to ‘greenback’

Ailsa Craig- 20 - Fine old cordon variety with rich, tangy taste

Crimson Crush - 20 - Blight Resistant, high quality variety producing large, good tasting fruit weighing up to 200g each

Pomodoro - 32 - Plum tomato with fleshy fruits and few seeds ideal for sauces, soups, pastes and sun drying

Nagina - 8 - Cordon, plum, blight resistant variety producing early ripening fruits with sweet, tangy taste

Maskotka - 20 - Hanging basket cherry, trailing variety with excellent sweet flavour

Red Cherry - 30 - Cordon cherry tomato with plentiful trusses and slightly larger round red fruits

Gardener’s Delight - 5 - Cherry, cordon variety with trusses of flavoursome fruit

Sungrape F1 - 20 - Small plumb shaped cherry tomato

Cherry Bite - 2 - Small very sweet and expensive cherry, ideal for eating straight from the vine and popular with children (These two plants will be auctioned off to the highest bidder)
