CAHA allotments at Telegraph Lane and Vale Yard will be open for visitors on 25th July.

CAHA would love volunteers from the CAHA members on the day, to answer any questions from visitors. It would also be appreciated if plot holders could ensure that the edges of their plots are tidy so there are no unfortunate accidents with visitors straying/slipping off the paths.

The National Garden Scheme gives visitors unique access to over 3,500 exceptional private gardens in England and Wales, and raises impressive amounts of money for nursing and health charities through admissions, teas and cake.

There are many, many beautiful gardens that are open for you to visit (for a small admission – with most offering free admission to children) across Surrey this summer including those in Claygate and Esher. You can search for gardens open to the public on the website. These currently include

The White House, KT10 8LB

9 Imber Park Rd KT10 8JB

40 Ember Lane KT10 8EP

Founded in 1927 to support district nurses and thanks to the generosity of garden owners, volunteers and visitors they have donated a total of £55 million to nursing and health charities (making a record annual donation of £3.1 million in 2018).

The National Garden Scheme is now the most significant charitable funder of nursing in the UK (beneficiaries include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute).

The National Garden Scheme is nationwide so please do take a look at their brilliant website for details of open gardens up and down the country
