Visit to Glyndebourne Gardens

For those who do not know Glyndebourne, this will be a rare, once- a-year, opportunity to see the famous opera house, inside and outside, and its beautiful setting and gardens.  They are open from 11.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m.  We are promised plenty of plants in bloom in the 12 acre gardens.  The dye garden, containing plants used to produce natural dyes for costumes for their opera productions are of particular interest.  Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions. Plants grown by the Glyndebourne gardening team will be available to purchase together with souvenirs from their shop.  A light lunch will be available at the Mildmay tea rooms at moderate extra cost or bring a picnic.  

The final cost of this visit has now been fixed at £35 per person.  So far (26th March) 22 have booked in and there is still room on the coach for more, up to 29.  Glyndebourne restricts numbers however so late bookings might be dissappointed.
