Claygate Flower and Village Show

This is a fun afternoon, from 1.30 pm to 6.00 pm, for children and adults alike. The afternoon on Claygate Recreation Ground is filled with a fairground, a dog show, children’s races, classic cars, face painting and arena entertainment to name but a few.

Refreshments are available from the beer tent, gin and fizz tent, ice cream van and many other stalls.

At the centre of all this activity is the Grand Exhibition Marquee where anyone can have a go and enter a competition to win the best sausage roll, hanging basket, photograph, potato or collage. There are hundreds of classes for children and adults so you’ll find one or two that appeal. Everyone heads for the marquee to see all the amazing entries. (deadline for entries – Monday 7th July). The day ends with an auction of some of the lovely exhibits at 6.15 pm.
