Claygate Gardening Society Autumn Flower, Fruit & Vegetable Show 2026


Friday 4 September in Claygate Village Hall


Bring your exhibits from 7.00 p.m. - judging starts at 7.30 p.m.




This is your chance to bring what you've grown


Our judges are John Round and Brian Mathew


Small prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category


The overall winner will be awarded our RHS 2026 Banksian Medal


Wine, soft drinks and nibbles will be served during the evening so please come and join us for a social evening with fellow members.



Here are the exhibit categories





Exhibit Categories

  • Three Carrots

  • Three Courgettes, up to 20 cm long

  • Five Potatoes, all one variety

  • Three Onions

  • Four Runner Beans

  • Four French Beans

  • One Cucumber

  • Four Chillies

  • One Squash

  • Bowl of Salad (e.g. lettuce, bring onions, rocket)

  • One Pumpkin

  • One Cabbage (any type)

  • The Beetroot (any kind)

  • One Cauliflower

  • Three samples of any other vegetable (same type)

  • Dish of Soft Fruit (raspberries etc.) one kind or mixed

  • Dish of Five Tomatoes

  • Dish of Three Dessert Apples

  • Dish of Three Pears

  • Vase of Culinary Herbs (at least three types)

  • Vase of Five Dahlias (one variety or mixed)

  • Vase of Mixed Annual Flowers

  • Vase of Mixed Perennial Flowers

  • Vase of Three Roses, (any type)

  • Arrangement of Mixed Foliage

  • Fuchsias, pot plant or cut blooms

  • House Plant in a Pot, grown for flower or foliage

  • Best Plant in the Garden, pot or cut flower

  • Most Attractive Seed Head

  • Anything not fitting into any of the above categories
