Women Writers and Their Gardens
Cheryl Sands, Garden Historian, discusses the idea that gardens can be perfect settings for dramatic scenes - they are traditionally a space away from the conventions of society and allow for all kinds of freedom. Jane Austen, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Agatha Christie, and others weave in their thoughts on gardens, society, healing and the cycles of life, often inspired by their own experiences of gardens.
