We were blessed with blue skies and warm sunshine for our trip to Dunsborough Park Tulip Festival in Ripley on Saturday 29th April.
Joined by several members and their families, we all enjoyed exploring the gardens including a stunning naturalised tulip 'corner' which was a glorious kaleidoscope of colour interspersed with delicate spires of blue camassias.
This made a great contrast to the more formal colour blocks of tulips elsewhere in the garden.
The kids had a ball exploring the winding stone paths by the woodland stream and spotting (Great Crested?) newts in the formal ponds.
Thank you to everyone who came along.
If you are interested in suggesting or attending a family event in the future please do let us know, we hope to run more of these informal gatherings to inspire our local children and connect with each other.
